Despite what’s happening in Iraq and global warming and all the other troubling headlines these days, I happen to believe that we are actually at an incredible place in history.  I truly believe that we are all both personally and cosmically on the verge of something AMAZING.  We just have to “break the cycle.”That was the very clear message that I received in during the Mayan sweat ceremony I was a couple of weeks ago in Mexico.  Granted, in that very sweaty moment, I only heard it as the clear message for me and my family.  I saw that I had to stop the cycle of living my life in a cloud of fear that has been instilled in me since birth (or before) and, more importantly, making certain that I was not instilling that same fear in my own children.  The message was also clearly for my sweet husband and his own struggle to find his place in the world and the importance of his breaking free of the pathology of his own parental dogma. But as I sat down to write this morning, I began to see the message as something much bigger…as something that applies to all of us.  After all, how many of us are NOT struggling to break free from one uncomfortable, unhealthy or even self-destructive cycle of our own?I see this all the time in my clients and that’s one of the primary benefits of working with a life a coach – learning how to break free of the stories, the dramas and the fears that keep you stuck in life.  Being stuck can show up in your life in limitless ways – the job you hate but are afraid to quit, the relationship you know isn’t right by just can’t end or even those last ten pounds that you can never seem to lose. But I’m here to tell you that it’s not really about ANY of those things!  It’s really about something much, much deeper.   Most often, being stuck is tied to previous (and past) life experiences that have left their traumatic thumb prints on who you are.  At least, that’s the message that those events have given you – that they define who you are.But the TRUTH is that they don’t.  They are just what has happened to you.  They are not YOU.  They are part of your story, your personal mythology but they don’t have to define you.  You can learn to rewrite those stories and reclaim your life.  You can break the cycle and, to be completely honest, your life depends on it.And people are doing it all the time these days, which is why I started this post on such a positive note!  From the thriving “farm to table” industry here in Austin (and in many cities) to the explosion of yoga to ebooks to home brews to keeping it local and to buying fair trade.  THERE ARE GREAT THINGS HAPPENING HERE, PEOPLE!Don’t you want to be a part of it?  You don’t have to quit your job and move to the mountains – unless you want to.  You just have to show up, face your fears, rewrite your stories and recover your life.  You just have to Find an Om of Your Own by reconnecting to what sets your heart on fire and, most importantly, come to believe that you are WORTHY of receiving it.I won’t lie to you. It’s not always easy but it can be so much fun! And, besides, it is not nearly as painful your living life stuck where you don’t belong due to nagging fear and pervasive self-doubt.  Not to mention all the incredible support available to provide you with guidance, accountability and inspiration.  Support, for example, like me :).  So, you let me know when you’re ready to join the revolution.  Let me know when you’re ready to break the cycle and finally have some fun!xoxo, Jenni BLove this?  Want more inspiration and motivation?  Sign up for my newsletter -I double dog dare you! http://www.jennibevill.com/subscribe20140623_082429_resized
